KEYWORD COACH HOPE KIAH HELPS SMALL BUSINESS GAIN SUCCESS IN WEB SITE MARKETING SO THAT CUSTOMERS CAN FIND YOU

Free Presentation Hosted by Santa Fe Small Business Development Loan Fund with Santa Fe Small Business Development Center

Santa Fe, New Mexico—Is your site dead on the web? Would you like to show up in search results? Is your marketing budget tight? Do you have some time to invest?

Keyword Coach Hope Kiah will introduce freelancers, small business owners and artist/creatives to the world of internet marketing and will share her skills, secrets and savvy through an interactive presentation hosted by the Santa Fe Small Business Development Loan Fund and Santa Fe Business Development Center. This lively presentation will take place Wednesday, May 21, 6 – 7:30 p.m. at Southside Library Café room and is FREE and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Southside Branch, Santa Fe Library is located at 6599 Jaguar Drive (turn on Country Club Road) just off Airport Road.

Kiah will demonstrate how to discover the best keywords for your site and what to do with them. Bring your ideas as to what phrases your ideal client would type into Google and Kiah will test as many as she can during the talk, while teaching you how to do this for yourself.

Kiah will show you the places on a site that the keywords should go, as well as blogging techniques and back linking.

As an example of what can be accomplished, one of Kiah’s clients was found this winter by a searcher on Google, only one month after the new site and blog were completed. The resulting sale paid for the site. At this talk, you can learn how to dramatically improve the odds of this happening for your business.

"My excitement is in enabling freelance/creatives and small business owners to compete online, without working too hard or spending mountains of money. This moment in Internet history is particularly exciting for the 'little guy', since the competition is generally clueless about web marketing. A relatively small investment in time and money can truly make an enormous difference. I love teaching my clients to take the small, consistent steps that can take a site from obscurity to very high ranking. It's amazing how cryptic and confusing SEO has seemed to the average person, or web designer for that matter! It's not hard, it's just a matter of a little knowledge going a long way," she explains.

Available at the talk will be flash drives with Kiah’s new book, The Keyword Tutorial Ebook, for sale at $25. You can print and fill out the worksheets in the back to follow through with everything you learned. Also, as follow up, Kiah has uploaded free keyword tutorial videos on youtube, which have been watched over 3500 times to date. In addition, audience members are eligible to win the Keyword Tutorial Ebook FREE at the presentation.

The free meeting and reception at Southside Library will also feature Loan Fund and industry experts who will discuss financing opportunities up to $100,000 for local entrepreneurs who create jobs for low to moderate income people; as well as provide information on free small business support services. All business owners looking for business financing and support should attend.

Joe Justice, a loan fund professional, will explain what The SFSBD Loan Fund is, how it works, and how small businesses who may not be eligible for traditional financing can qualify for a loan through the fund.  Part of the goal of the meeting is to demonstrate how the Loan Fund offers extra benefits to borrowers such as better loan rates (starting at 6+%) and financing terms; free ongoing business and financial coaching to clients; and fast turnaround—many loans are processed in two weeks.

Representatives from the Small Business Development Center at Santa Fe Community College will be on hand to talk about their professional counseling services to assist small business owners as well as prospective entrepreneurs. Also offered are low cost workshops available year round to provide focused and informative content for the busy entrepreneur. The upcoming Business Management Series will cover time management, hiring practices, and customer service best practices. A complete listing of services and workshops can be found on the web at www.nmsbdc.org/santafe. You can register on the website, or you can call (505) 428-1343.

The Loan Fund is an initiative of the City of Santa Fe’s Economic Development Department. The fund wants to make more loans to Santa Fean entrepreneurs thereby directly supporting the Economic Development Action Plan adopted by the City.
