Would you like to update your own site?
Wouldn't it be great to be able to make changes without having to wait for your webmaster?
We teach you how to use Contribute software by Adobe. After downloading the product (for about about $180), you can log into your site and edit your web pages, almost as if you are working in Word! Changing or pasting text is a breeze. Other functions can get more complicated, but it's amazing what you can do using this program.
We will get you set up and in the groove of editing your site.
Here's how to prepare:
- You will need to download and install Contribute onto your computer.
- Get your website ftp (file transfer protocol) login information from your existing webmaster or hosting company. And please tell your webmaster what's going on so you don't step on each other's toes. Have the ftp info handy when we talk.
- Schedule a phone consultation with us, which you can request here. Plan a time when you can be online with high speed connectivity when we talk.
- Plan what you want to change on your site to get started. Text is the easiest thing to change. Substituting one image for another is also easy. Contribute can do more than this but it takes a higher learning curve. If you want to go deeper into Contribute:
- We recommend a Contribute online video tutorial from lynda.com. You can pay $25/month for access to all her amazing video tutorials, and cancel after a month if you like. You can also order the CD instead of watching online.
Fee Structure:
The cost is $150/hour with a $75 minimum. Most likely, you will need an hour to get started, possibly two. We can book two hours and cut the call short without charging for the full two hours.
